Our Australian client specialises in Arborist Services, including tree protection plans and monitoring and inspection of trees on development sites, together with  producing reports which are submitted to local councils and require CAD-prepared tree location plans. Our client is well-known for helping clients to design their projects to improve the effects of building and development on the trees which exist on properties. They are looking for a confident and skilled Draftsperson to work with Autocad for their projects.

Working with a small and growing team to create detailed drawings for Arborist projects using provided drawing standards and training materials.

Part-Time position only – 1 month role with possible extension

Work-from-home, 

6 hours per day

Philippines time 7 am to 1 pm, Monday to Friday

Roles and Responsibilities

• Efficiently learn the company-specific drafting requirements, methods and standards.
• Utilise, create, edit, and update standard details for use in projects.
• Creating accurate CAD drawings from a range of sources including existing CAD plans, hand sketches, written and/or verbal instructions,and standard drawings, notes and instruction documents.
• Seamlessly integrating and working with project managers to produce and alter drawings.  
• Thinking creatively and critically to support the project team in the design process, to create sketches and drawings that meet the requirements of each project and are in line with the company standards.  
• Prioritise work according to company standards, client deadlines and project status.
• Creating and continually updating project drawings lists.  
• Systematically saving sketches and drawings on our cloud server; keeping the server organised; updating project folders and files as jobs progress and revisions are made. Ensuring all files are saved to the cloud and not kept on the local hard drive, so that other team members can access them. 
• Organising and uploading drawings to web based storage sites/collaboration project sites to share drawings with project managers.

Qualifications and Experience/Skills Required: 

• A degree in Computer Aided Drafting or equivalent
• Minimum 1-year experience in a CAD Operator role.
• Experience with Australian based projects an advantage  
• Outstanding fluency and skill within the AutoCAD program.  
• Excellent communication skills; listening, comprehension, and feedback.

Tools and Softwares: 

• Autocad
• Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Sites, Chat, Meet, Gmail)
• A Project Management System (such as Teamwork)
