Offshore Virtual Assistants, a trusted Australian outsourcing company, is looking for a highly detail-oriented and organised Part-time Data Mining Virtual Assistant to support one of our clients in the manufacturing industry.

The client is a mid-sized engineering company that builds custom parts based on customer designs. They focus on producing high-quality structural tubes, pipes, and section components that meet specific customer requirements.

The successful VA will assist in various research, data mining, and CRM-related tasks to support business development, political engagement, and strategic outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Database Mining & CRM Input

• Source contact details (names, emails, phone numbers, addresses) from publicly available websites and directories, including:
  • Australian healthcare and Engineers, and Steel Detailers
  • LinkedIn – searching for Australian engineering and steel detailing

     

• Clean, format, and accurately enter all data into the client’s CRM system (e.g. Zoho, Salesforce)

2. Demographic & Electoral Research

• Use the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) website to gather and summarise demographic data by suburb or electorate.
• Compile results from the 2022 Victorian State Election and the latest Australian Federal Election.
• Present research findings in Excel or Google Sheets with proper formatting, headings, and sourcing.

   

3. Reporting & Communication

• Provide weekly progress updates and samples of collected data.
• Flag any inconsistencies or challenges encountered during research.

   

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in data mining, especially using LinkedIn and public directories
• Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and CRM platforms like Zoho or Salesforce
• Excellent written communication skills in English
• High attention to detail and ability to follow data accuracy and privacy standards
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
