Offshore Virtual Assistants, a highly respected outsourcing company based in Sydney, seeks a diligent and detail-oriented Paralegal to work with one of our clients. The business consists of experienced migration agents and lawyers who are passionate about providing smart, accessible, and reliable legal support, with a focus on migration and administrative law. They believe in simplifying complex legal processes for our clients and delivering exceptional service with integrity and accuracy.

Position Overview
We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our lawyers, management, and clients by delivering top-tier paralegal services and assisting with all aspects of file and client management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality paralegal support to lawyers, management, and clients.
  • Deliver 100% of assigned workload on or before client-related critical dates.
  • Draft letters of instruction, client statements, legal submissions, and correspondence to the highest professional standards and following up when necessary
  • Prepare applications to the Department of Immigration & Border Protection, the Minister for Immigration & Border Protection, Statutory Review Tribunals, and the Courts, ensuring 0% error rate and complete accuracy.
  • Produce independently accurate and high-quality work, maintaining confidentiality and legal integrity.
  • Assist lawyers in managing files and progressing client-related tasks through to final delivery.
  • Upload supporting evidence and documentation to relevant applications and case management systems.
  • Handle general administrative tasks, including document filing, record keeping, and file maintenance.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, third-party stakeholders, lawyers, and Counsel.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant immigration laws, regulations, and processes.
  • Updating Migration Manager with all correspondence, document collection, document  review ,drafing visa applications  and management of trust account

     

General Duties

  • Fulfill other tasks as required by management and/or other departments.
  • Adapt to evolving business needs and contribute to improving internal processes.
  • Support the firm’s values of excellence, integrity, and service.

     

Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Legal Studies or equivalent qualification 
  • Prior experience in a paralegal role, preferably in migration or administrative law.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian immigration processes and relevant legislation (desirable).
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, with confidence to communicate assertively with our clients (via email) if required
  • Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to produce error-free documents.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience with legal document drafting and case management software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or office environment.
  • Knowledge of Migration Manager software recommended 
  • Microsoft and Google Suite
